Person Centered Planning

The PDD Central Region Community Board supports individuals and families in using Person Centered Planning as part of the effort to ensure that all supports and services provided to individuals with developmental disabilities are based on, and contribute to, each person's specific circumstances, interests, and desires.

Person Centered Planning is not new, but to have it as a key element in determining the nature of an individual's supports and services in Central Alberta is. Over the 2006-2009 period, staff will be presenting information about Person Centered Planning to all individuals and families and offering opportunities for families to become engaged in a Person Centered Planning process with an independent facilitator.
