Welcome to PDD Central Alberta

The Persons with Developmental Disabilities (PDD) program is the way that the Government of Alberta ensures that adults with developmental disabilities have access to supports and funding. The program operates through the Ministry of Seniors and Community Supports under the Persons with Developmental Disabilities (PDD) Community Governance Amendment Act 2006 and associated foundational principles and policies.

In Central Alberta, the PDD program is delivered through the PDD Central Region Community Board, a network of service providers located in communities throughout the region, and through direct services provided by Michener Services in Red Deer and Youngstown.

This website provides a wide variety of background information about the PDD program, the PDD Central Region Community Board and its activities, as well as a number of resources and tools, for individuals, families, and support staff.
