May 2004 Web Letter

The web page has finally arrived! Wow, look at us. Now in reading it we have realized that the first web letter is already out dated, so will rectify that now.

April saw us being very busy. We now have approximately 14 of our members being the proud new owners of a hand drum that they made themselves. You all did a tremendous job of them and should be very proud. Thanks to all those who have donated hides over the last couple of years to allow this to happen. Also, thanks to the Bowden boys for cleaning and drying the hides and making the drum rings.

Our exciting news is we will be moving !! Sometime in the next couple of months we will be moving into a larger area. We hope this move will allow us to spread out considerably, have better parking and I think for the first time, Barb and I won't haven't to be crammed into one little area. We will still be at Michener, just moving a block away from our current location. We are looking forward to the extra space and we are sure all of you are, too.

Fort Normandeau Days is coming up on May 29 & 30 at Fort Normandeau, just outside of Red Deer. It is a fun filled day with hays rides, food, activities and a mock gun battle between the "cowboys and Indians". Try to get out to that one.

Take care and have a great May.
