MICHENER SERVICES
Michener Services is an integral part of Alberta 's array of supports and services for adults with developmental disabilities. Michener operates 48 homes on a 300-acre site in Red Deer and two homes at Youngstown , Alberta. It supports 354 adults (as of October 2006) by providing an impressive range of recreational, social, residential, spiritual and medical services.

facilities, Beaver Hall and the Roland Michener Recreation
Centre. It also provides social and educational programs
at The Hub in downtown Red Deer.
Staff members encourage and assist individuals to
plan and make decisions about the things that shape
their lives and to participate in the widest possible
range of life experiences. They do ‘whatever it takes’
to help individuals realize their dreams and aspirations.
Michener operates under the direction of the Persons
with Developmental Disabilities Central Alberta Community
