PDD PROGRAM

Drum Performers The PDD Program provides supports and funding for approximately 9100 adults with developmental disabilities across Alberta including 1850 adults in Central Alberta. Supports to these individuals can include residential supports, community access, employment, and specialized supports. These support are aimed at assisting adults with developmental disabilities live, learn, work, and be active in their communities.

The range and extent of supports provided varies substantially, based on the unique needs and desires of the individual. The focus is on supporting individuals with developmental disabilities to live fulfilling lives in Alberta communities.

Funding to PDD is provided through the Ministry of Seniors and Community Supports of the Government of Alberta.

In March 2008, the Hon. Mary Anne Jablonski was appointed as Minister responsible for PDD.
