Medical Rehabilitation Survey – Central Alberta

March – May 2003

Quality of life, participation and inclusion can be enhanced for individuals with developmental disabilities who have special physical needs, if those physical needs are met in a timely and appropriate manner.

In March 2003 an attempt was made to gauge the level of need and satisfaction with the wide range of Medical Rehabilitation supports (Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech Language Pathology) that individuals with developmental disabilities may be accessing across Central Alberta.

The survey asked questions about the Types of Services used, Frequency of Use and Satisfaction with the Services used.

For more information about the survey or assistance related to physical and occupational therapy or speech language pathology contact Dennis Nault, Director, Specialty Services, PDD Central Alberta Community Board at (403) 340-5944.
