Edmonton Community Board has two divisions:
- Community Services
- Direct Operations
Community Services
Community Services is responsible for:
- Providing general information
- Screening for eligibility
- Coordinating presentations and information sessions
- Planning with individuals and their family and friends
- Assisting approximately 50 service providers to develop
new and innovative ways to respond to the requests of individuals
- Ensuring that standards are met by service providers
- Advising service providers of applicable policies and procedures
- Managing the funding for individuals, families, and service
providers
- Partnering with individuals, families, service providers
and the community at large to develop best practices and
optimal supports
- Assisting individuals, families, and/or service providers
who are experiencing difficulties planning and responding
effectively to complex situations. Specific supports could
include behavioral consultation, counseling and training.
