I. Purpose
- To develop, implement and monitor innovative community initiatives
designed to enhance a community's capacity to include and support persons
with developmental disabilities.
- To increase community awareness and understanding of community
partnerships and opportunities to build inclusive communities.
II. Overall Criteria
- Must focus on community's capacity for inclusion of adults with
developmental disabilities.
- Must involve a Community Partner PDD does not fund.
- PDD funded partners may be included in the partnerships.
- Must not replace existing mandate or responsibility/resources of
Community Partners.
- Can be used to enhance existing community inclusion projects.
- These
are one-time expenditures that may be extended into a second year.
III. General Guidelines and Accountability
- Participating partners will submit a plan including: purpose, timeline
of major activities and events, outcomes, evaluation approach and required
resources.
- Each Board will require information reports and updates on an agreed
upon schedule and will provide quarterly reports to the
PDD Program.
- The PDD Program reports plans and progress to the Minister.
